Happy Birthday to us

In August 2021 we opened our doors for business. The absolute highlight has been getting to know our wonderful members and creating a community of co-workers.

We have a core of regular co-workers who have chosen @hasleworks as their place of work. And it is always a pleasure to welcome back others who visit less frequently and come when they need an alternative to working from home. We have proved useful during emergencies - our busiest week was in February during the power cuts. Our meeting room is being used more and more by teams that need face to face meetings but don’t need a permanent office.

The idea for @hasleworks came during lockdown as a way of contributing to the recovery of the local economy. It has been exciting to meet other new local businesses including @arkskincare @courtyardcafe @coppaclub @momahaslemere @clublunchhaslemere @greenandblue studios @benebikes @venture_out @theneonnib @oliveandbloomgrazing  We know that we are driving trade to local cafes by the number of takeaway cups we accumulate each week.

We have beautiful paintings by local artists @amyloulovesart @kirstyjrouse and Barbara Carswell on our walls. Local photographer @suzannahginders did a fantastic photo shoot earlier this year and many of our photos can be credited to her. We had a fascinating talk by another Haslemere photographer @heatherchuter

Out of hours our ground floor has transformed into an event space and we were honoured to host the first @lovehaslemerehatewaste Repair Cafe, a fundraising event for @jeremyhuntmp campaign for the new Cancer and Surgical Innovation Centre and a meeting for the Haslemere For Ukraine Group.

Thank you to everyone who has welcomed us over the last year and especially to all of our members. We are looking forward to another exciting year.
